The tool has three main components, the webcam, the calibration script, and the platform spawner. The webcam script initializes the camera, flashes the screen white (for higher contrast), and scans the screen for color information. The information is passed to the platform spawn script that takes the color information and spawns appropriate platform blocks depending on the color of the image scanned. The calibration script is then used to adjust the placement of the blocks and saves the information to the player preferences in Unity.
